What gets me is this arrest by appointment carry on. Are they to big a name to be treated the same as any other possible criminal?

No, she's attended an interview & said enough to get arrested....
If your ever requested to be intereview by the police in regards to you being the crimial DO NOT ATTEND....
They are fishing for information the more you say the more they will have to build a case against you, now even if you have been a naughty boy or girl, politely decline & let them come & arrest you & you let them pay for a brief but again the more you say the more they will use against you.
The police are not your friend, a great example would be "the lock up" a programmed filmed at the police station in hull....
A lady was foolish enough to drink whilst over the limit as they had missed there bus or taxi.... treated like dirt whilst in the police station.... on the same program was some young nugget who's was regular customer, loads of laughing & joking reminiscing of when the copper "saved his life" as the knobbler was found collapsed under a wide screen tv he was nicking,  this time around knobbler was in for car theft, I found the contast between how the detainees where treated to be quite distasteful
